People only resist change they are not in control of. So change must come from your people, not from you.
You must provide the inspiration. They must provide the solutions.
Einstein said problems cannot be solved with the same level of thinking that created them.
True. Your role as a leader is to stimulate the thinking of your people to solve their own problems.
And be sure the problems are solved at the same level in the organization that they exist in.
Problem solving is not your job. Stimulating thinking IS.
When you coach your subordinates to solve their own problems, you are developing skills in them they can apply further next time, and you are getting them to take ownership.
After all, they are now going to implement their own ideas.
