As those of us living in Singapore know, you can reclaim it. And you can do the same with time.
In an earlier article I talked about the frequent habit of managers being the “expert problem solver” to their people. This is one of the two big time wasters for a manager.
When you solve all the problems your team bring to you, it feels good, but it takes a lot of your time.
When you coach your people and make them do the thinking, they create the solutions, which form a neural pathway in their brain, so they take ownership of the ideas, after all they are THEIR ideas; their commitment to actually do it is way higher, and if the plan needs modifying in action, they will.
Because you are leveraging the way brains work you have also helped them create new neural pathways. They are permanent. So your leadership objective of developing people is also being done.
The pathways are permanent, so the ideas and the problem solving process is permanent.
They will be able to apply it more effectively to all future situations.
So YOU will be become vastly more time efficient, and be able to get more results from more people.
Reclaim your time now: Really Profitable Leadership®.
